Design & Fine Art Courses
In this day and age it is possible to study interior design, garden design or fine art at almost any level. For example Christie’s, the famous auction house, runs a series of excellent full time, part time, daytime, or evening courses; these include Decorative and Fine Art, Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Art and Modern Art Studies. The famous Inchbald School prides itself on uncompromising standards and their many courses include Interior Design and Decoration, Garden Design, Computer-aided Design and Decorative Paint Finishes.
The KLC School of Interior Design has an international reputation and only employs tutors who are working professionals in their own right. They run a number of full-time diploma courses in Interior Design & Decoration and Landscape Design. They also run short courses and practical workshops which cover such subjects as Garden Design, Lighting, Technical Drawing and Interior Design.
The Victoria & Albert Museum is not only a famous British landmark but also the home of many outstanding Fine Art courses and lectures which are so numerous that it is worth applying for all the prospectuses. Practical courses focus on art, craft and design and teach particular skills, approaches or techniques that relate to the V & A's collections. Although these courses are primarily practical, they also include some contextual information and are aimed at a general adult audience.
